Take a break from your standard animé and get your manga fill in here.
This is one of the best manga I’ve read in high school from all those years ago — well, reading manga was pretty much all I ever did in high school anyway. I swear, the plot is good. I know that the NSFW tag isn’t really helping, but it has a good plot. And of course, it offers more action than action itself can offer — can’t deny that. Ryoichi Ikegami, the author, is a very skilled artist and writer.
This particular chapter from his series, Bestia or Ryuugetsushou, interestingly features a woman tattooed by her illicit lover, with a powerful type of irezumi. This tattoo gave the woman an unexplained new ability to suck out the life force of any man she copulates with. That is until she met our samurai, Gen Tsukinosuke, a man with a deadly venom himself.
“Long, long ago, a woman who had coupled with a strange beast gave birth to a Saishi, a half-human half-beast creature, whose body was filled with venom. These brutal creatures were used in battle during times of unrest, but during times of peace, they were shunned and hated. Indeed, they were cursed.
“A Ronin samurai called Gen Tsukinosuke is one of the few surviving Saishis and the owner of a magnificent sword, the “Fangs of God.” He travels in search of his estranged sister and sleeps with women who yearn for death, killing them with his deadly poison. The story takes place in the war-torn days at the end of the Edo period. With a destiny to be a Kaishi, Tsukinosuke is also being swallowed up by the harsh flow of history.”
Looks normal, doesn’t it? Just a scene of two people engaging in a perfectly natural act.
That’s when the magic happens. You see, this woman had been tattooed with some kind of ink that only appears when she wishes; preferably, when she’s been stimulated.
As seen here, this particular tattoo is called the “Ooborobori,” and showing up isn’t all it does. You’ll see.
Aside from a shattering orgasm, the Ooborobori seemed to have the ability to suck out the life force of the person the bearer of the tattoo is having intercourse with.
Femme fatale.
Not so fast though, this woman happened to be a concubine bought from a brothel by some rich store owner and he found out that one of his ladies seem to have been fooling around when he’s away.
The story gets more interesting from there, I tell you. The livid mix of sex, action, and gore won’t disappoint you.
