The Phenomenal South Pacific-Inspired Tattoos of Samuel Christensen
Fans of tribal, dotwork, and geometric tattoos will absolutely love Samuel Christensen's South Pacific-inspired style.
Samuel Christensen is an artist from Ravensburg, Germany. He has been tattooing since 2008 and specializes in South Pacific-inspired Blackwork and Dotwork tattoos.
His tattooing career began with a period of travel through Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, and New Zealand, where he was inspired by the South Pacific tattoo styles, namely Maori, Polynesian, and Samoan. These styles are commonly referred to as "Tribal".
Christensen states that his fascination with clean lines, stark contrasts, and the ability to play with the existing forms of the body, are his greatest inspiration. He also includes blackwork, dotwork, mandala, and henna-inspired elements in his tattoos.
While the majority of his tattoos are large-scale pieces, he can also expertly create unique mandalas.
And there are even options for the minimalists out there...
Most of Christensen's work solely uses black ink, but he has also experimented with including red ink in his designs and breaking across style barriers.
