Must-Know Tattoo Artist: Ron Russo

Ron Russo is as talented as the other horror tattoo artists we've introduced to you in October. He prefers working with oils and acrylics.

Like Paul Acker, Ron works with mainly horror and slasher film pieces. He started with black and grey and moved on to color portraits and has been kicking ass at it ever since. Ron picked up tattooing in 2000, getting himself a proper apprenticeship knowing that learning on his own won't teach him the important stuff. He finally opened his own shop, 570 Tattooing Co. in 2005 with his wife. Like most horror artists, Ron is a big fan of the genre. It's where he gets most of his inspiration in creating art. When he's not busy tattooing rotting corpses, vampires, psycho killers, and creatures of the night, Ron busies himself with painting.
