Angelina Jolie Debuts Three New Tattoos On Set Of Her Latest Movie!

Angelina Jolie is no stranger to ink and has some of the most famous tattoos in the world, and now she has three more!!
Currently in Cambodia working on her latest project Jolie revealed three new back tattoos while on set. First They Killed My Father is set to premier on Netflix and “is an adaption of the 2000 non-fiction book written by Loung Ung, a Cambodian author and survivor of the Pol Pot regime, and her personal account of her experiences during the Khmer Rouge years”.
While on set and shooting at the Angor Watt Temple Jolie was spotted sporting some new ink along side her other well known back tattoos. Jolie’s latest additions are certainly recent as they weren’t present on the red carpet back in November.
Joining a ‘Know Your Rights’ design, a traditional Thai tiger and Cambodian spiritual writings
are two ancient Thai Buddhist symbols and mantras that are believed to provide protection. The third design, a box, is a Yant also known as Paech chaluaek, which is a symbol of good deed.
Jolie’s latest tattoos are believed to be by Bangkok-based artist Ajarn Noo Kanpai who previously tattooed Jolie’s shoulder blade and also tattooed her Bengal tiger which she got to celebrate her Cambodian citizenship in 2004. Kanpai is famous for his traditional method of tattooing by hand not machine.
Back in December Jolie was seen with a new tattoo on her left forearm which seems to follow the theme of Cambodian spiritual designs and it will be a sure bet that she will soon be seen with more. To date the veteran actress turned director has around 20 different tattoos which date back to her teenage years.
