Wet Paint: The Fine Art Of Gustavo Rimada
on
Stories
Colorful stylings from one of our favorite fine artists, Gustavo Rimada.
There are admittedly very few fine artists that I keep up with on Instagram, though Gustavo Rimada happens to be one of them. The Mexican born, California dwelling street artist Rimada had prior experience working in tattoo shops, which has greatly influenced his art today. His painting style is contemporary, with surrealistic and art-nouveau themes.
Rimada blends spooky imagery such as anatomical hearts, skulls, bones and brains juxtaposed against strikingly vibrant and colorful feminine motifs such as pinups, flowers, foliage, shells and butterflies. The end result? Hauntingly beautiful.
Check out his stunning work below, and follow @arte_de_gustavo for in-progress videos of his current projects.
