Illustrations Of Fantasy-Inspired Tattooed Girls By Gwen D'Arcy

This Canadian artist and painter is lost in her fantasy world with her tattooed fantasy girls and she's letting us in her realm through her chimerical drawings.

Gwen D'Arcy is a tattooed mom and part-time model who found a portal to vent out the chaos in her life through abstract painting. “I am always trying new things, using different mediums, not because I am looking for the ultimate technique or style, but because I know that the only way to learn is by stepping outside of your comfort zone,” she wrote.

That was back in 2009. Since then, the 36-year-old self-taught artist found new art mediums to try and love which eventually led her to illustrating tattooed fantasy girls. With over 120,000 followers on Instagram, life is merely starting for the tattooed mom.

I was drawn to Gwen's works for the mere fact that there's nothing ordinary about them. She designs with such lovely details and elements that perfectly captured her imagination. She's also not one to stop at one medium she felt comfortable at because she occasionally kept trying new things and proved if you really want to pursue something, there's no such thing as ‘starting late.’
