Zoe Saldana and Her Very Sweet Tattoo Dedicated to Her Husband

Zoe Saldana isn't afraid of a little ink. The woman who stars as Gamora in The Guardians of the Galaxy has several tattoos littered across her body. Some are just script, while others are more illustrative, but there is one that remains very close to her heart. Literally.

Saldana recently was a guest on The Late Late Show With James Corden and explained her most recent tattoo to Corden and the audience watching. She got a tattoo of her husband, Marco Perego's face on her ribcage.

She told Corden, "My husband has tattoos coming out of his ears...and every time we would go get a tattoo for me, he would, like, push me aside, and he would end up getting a brand new tattoo. So, two years later, I finally got the tattoo."

She admitted to being nervous and it took her nearly two years to get up the courage to get the tattoo. It was done by the legendary tattoo artist, Mark Mahoney, but you'll have a hard time finding it.

"You want it to be in a place that's private," Saldana explained to Corden, "that you only show when you're, like, in a bathing suit."

It's not the first tattoo of its kind in her family. Perego has a tattoo of her face on his arm, a much more visible tattoo. When Saldana told the audience this fact, she quipped, "We're those kind of people."

The couple have been married since 2013, and have twin sons together, Cy and Bowie.
