Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl gets a permanent reminder to pay tribute to Lemmy Kilmoster, in the form of a new tattoo.
“We’ve lost a friend & legend. My heart is broken. RIP Lemmy. Born To Lose, Lived To Win.”
That’s what Foo Fighters wrote on their Facebook page yesterday when it was announced that 70 year old Motörhead frontman, Lemmy Kilmister, had sadly died following a battle with cancer.
Dave and Lemmy go way back, and in 2010 they performed ‘Ace of Spades’ together at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards. Upon hearing about Lemmy’s death, Grohl went straight to the tattoo studio to get a permanent reminder on his body that pays homage to one of the world’s greatest rock icons. As someone who has three Foo Fighters’ tattoos, all I can say is… good work Dave, I’d have done the same.
