#FuckCancer. That's the hashtag Alison Habbal is using in her inspirational and motivational Instagram posts showing her new breast tattoo following a battle with cancer.
Tattooist Makkala Rose wrote on her Instagram: "Alison is a total champ! Thanks so much for sticking it out alllll day, stoked I got to do this for you."
Alison posted the above photo with the caption: "And the finished artwork by Makkala Rose. 13 hours, one sitting. #freethenipple just kidding, no nipple!"
Alison Habbal, from Sydney, was diagnosed with breast cancer at 36 years old. Following surgery, she opted to cover her scarring with a beautiful tattoo. In an interview with BBC, she said: "I didn't want a fake nipple made from some other piece of flesh. I thought I'm just going to get a tattoo."
After having received this gorgeous new tattoo from artist Makkala Rose, the pictures on Alison's Instagram are generating a huge reaction. In the same interview, tattooist Makkala discusses the challenges of tattooing this sensitive area: "tattooing a breast is quite different to tattooing a leg or a back or something. It's a bit challenging to design something that would fit and work around it."
Makkala's tattoos are just incredible, so I included a few below for you to take a look at!
