Woman Crush Wednesday : Rising Star Michelle Maron

Our #babes are enviable for a number of reasons, the main being that their lives are seemingly perfect. Models, photographers, bloggers, and tattooers, whatever they may do for a living, it’s one of our many dream jobs. The second, and arguably the number one reason why they’re one of our many #WCW’s, is because of their massive social media followings. Mark our words, grow yourself a social media following that’s genuinely interested in not just you as a person, but what you do for a living, and you’re essentially setting yourself up for world domination. And last, but certainly not least, oh my god, are they good looking. The prettiest tattoos and faces, these ladies are a force to be reckoned with. Neo-traditional Fox by Michelle Maron

A neo-traditional tattoo artist by trade, Maron’s work focuses primarily on colorful animals and women, but that’s not to say she won’t venture into other territories. Maron prides herself on being incredibly versatile as well, occasionally venturing into illustrative and realism territory. Although she’s only been tattooing since 2012, she’s already won a few titles at several Swedish tattoo conventions, including first prize for the best small piece as well as the number one spot for the best neo-traditional small piece at the 2016 Ume Tattoo Fest. Using common neo-traditional color pallets as her main source of depth, Maron’s expert use of shading in her black and grey work is equally as impressive.

As with all of our #WCW’s, Maron’s no stranger to a camera either, frequently collaborating with photographers to create gorgeous images. Her work in front of the camera is just as captivating as her tattoo portfolio, taking care to show off her own personal collection of body art. Frequently daring to bare it all, Maron can often be seen in artfully composed nude shots as well. She's perfectly achieved that certain type of enviable cool-girl je ne sais quoi that people spend their entire lives chasing.
