Colorful Creatures by Janice Bao Bao

Toronto is a burgeoning art city. A ton of movies are being filmed there, actors are flocking there, and visual art in the city has never been more cherished.

Toronto is also home to one of the tattoo community's finest artists, Janice Bao Bao. Her style is hard to pin down, because she's been influenced by a great many techniques. But that mixture is like the perfect recipe, blending all parts together to make something excellent.

Bao Bao's style is softer and more illustrative than the hard black outlines of traditional tattoos, and she borrows elements from the watercolor style that's all the rage these days. It's really an amazing mixture of classic styles and modern influences. She whipped them up in a cauldron and cast a spell on us.
