PUP is a Canadian band that has been taking the underground rock community by storm with their eclectic mix of pop-punk and hardcore. Their latest effort, The Dream is Over, released by SideOneDummy was met with much acclaim and showed them continuing to grow as a band.
As they are about to hit the road for a tour of their homeland, the band has released a music video for the single, "Sleep in the Heat." It stars Finn Wolfhard, of Stranger Things fame, as a young Stefan Babcock (the singer and guitarist of PUP) going through all of the trials and tribulations that go along with his lifestyle.
The video was directed by Jeremy Schaulin-Rioux and is dedicated to the band's recently deceased chameleon.
"Jeremy was the one who thought we should make a video for this song," Babcock said of the video. "He has this really weird one-eyed grumpy cat that he loves a lot, and I guess the song got him thinking about what it's going to be like when she's gone. Losing a friend is something so many of us have had to deal with, which is why I think this video is so powerful."
PUP has a ton of buzz surrounding them after being named one of Rolling Stone's Breakout Rock Acts of 2014, and receiving multiple JUNO Awards. And you can check out their tour dates here to see when they are playing a venue near you!
